Description
Airline Highway: A Play by Lisa D'Amour explores the lives of a tight-knit community bound together by their shared experiences and struggles. On the day of Miss Ruby's funeral, the people whose lives she has touched gather to celebrate her, forcing them to confront their choices and relationships with one another. This play offers a nuanced portrayal of community and authenticity in a rapidly changing world. With great insight and humor, D'Amour examines the consequences of bad luck, bad decisions, and a lack of pretension. The result is a thought-provoking drama that sheds light on the tenuous hold that shared rituals have on those around us. Through its characters and their stories, Airline Highway provides a powerful commentary on gentrification and the human need for connection in uncertain times.
