Agitación

Agitación sobre el mal de la impaciencia by Jorge Freire is a thought-provoking exploration of our modern predicament. In his latest work, Freire draws upon the ideas of French philosopher Blaise Pascal to examine the root causes of our restless nature. According to Pascal, our troubles stem from an inability to remain still and quiet in a room. This fundamental problem has evolved over time, manifesting in new and unexpected ways. Freire's book delves into the consequences of this relentless state, where individuals are driven by an insatiable desire for new experiences and instant gratification. The result is a society where people are perpetually caught between anticipation and experience, unable to find lasting peace or contentment. This phenomenon has become all too familiar in contemporary life. By examining the roots of our modern malaise, Freire offers a nuanced understanding of our collective condition. His work invites readers to reflect on their own relationship with stillness, quiet, and the pursuit of happiness.
