Description

After the Game: A Field Party Novel by Abbi Glines Riley Young has returned to her hometown of Lawton, Alabama, after two years away. She's not at school finishing her senior year, but rather back home to care for her young daughter and ailing grandmother. The town still harbours resentment towards her, stemming from an accusation made against the local football star, Rhett, which led to Riley's departure. When stranded on the side of the road during a storm, Riley and her daughter are rescued by Brady Higgens, a charming and influential figure in Lawton. As he helps them, Brady begins to question his initial impression of Riley, forcing him to confront the possibility that there may be more to her story than he initially thought. This novel is the third book in the Field Party series, which explores themes of family, love, and loyalty in a small southern town.
