Description
A Tale of Two Abbeys by Rosie Lear is set against the backdrop of two historic buildings: the Alms house in Sherborne and Shaftesbury Abbey. In this gripping tale, a gruesome event involving a local family close to a young schoolmaster sets off a chain reaction that must be resolved. The story takes place in a small town where community spirit is put to the test as people come together to raise funds for rebuilding after a devastating fire. However, tensions rise when an incident at Shaftesbury Abbey draws attention away from the town's efforts and raises questions about how the two communities can work together despite their distance. As the situation unfolds, the author masterfully weaves together elements of history, mystery, and suspense to create a compelling narrative that explores the complexities of community and the power of human connection.
