Description

A Straight Line by J. D. Wade and Chase Connor is a heartwarming novel about a gay bar that became a beacon of acceptance in a rural town. For forty years, the owners, Harry and Vic, welcomed queer people into their lives, providing a sense of community and belonging. Their bar, A Straight Line, was more than just a place to drink - it was a home for many. As the world around them changed, Harry and Vic's bar remained a constant source of comfort and love. The owners became heroes in their town, celebrated for helping to usher in an era of acceptance. Now, as they prepare to retire, they're hosting one final party, inviting all those who've found solace at A Straight Line. For Russ, the bar's young nephew, this party marks a chance to experience the love and community he's always wondered about. As he looks back on his life, he begins to understand what it means to find true love and create an LGBTQ+ family.
