Description
Dillon McDowell, an infectious disease specialist, takes a job with Doctors Without Borders in Liberia. However, his experience is far from what he expected, and he needs help adjusting to the local culture. Will Scarlet becomes his ally and guide, introducing him to the community. As Dillon settles into life in Liberia, he begins to form connections with the local boys who invite him to play soccer. This newfound normalcy helps him open up, but he remains cautious due to past rejections from his own family. When Dillon falls ill, Will's feelings for him are revealed, and they must confront their emotions. Their bond is tested when Dillon's soccer friends lose loved ones to disease, and they work together to support the boys and navigate the challenges of a society that fears contagion.
