This anthology draws together texts from various periods, including pre-modern and early twentieth-century works, offering explanatory context and brief biographies of the authors. The collection includes writings from different Christian traditions, such as the Church of the East, Roman Catholicism, Protestantism, and academic essays showcasing "Sino-Christian theology" from the Reform Era.
