Description

Graham Chapman's A Liar's Autobiography is a humorous and unflinching account of his life as a member of Monty Python. This true and false memoir offers an intimate look at Chapman's experiences as a gay man in the entertainment industry, balancing outrageous fictions with touching truths. The book presents a surreal and crowded mosaic of stories, including Chapman's time as a mountaineer, medical student, actor, and alcoholic. These tales form a complex and often disturbing portrait of a life lived on the edge, both literally and metaphorically. A fascinating and moving read, A Liar's Autobiography is a worthwhile read for fans of Monty Python and those interested in the lives of gay men in showbusiness.
