Description
A Grace Called La Salette: A Story for the World by Jean Jaouen is a thought-provoking exploration of the spirituality and religious significance of the La Salette apparition. Father Jaouen, a theologian trained at the Saulchoir theological school, offers an accurate and balanced interpretation of the warnings voiced by the Lady of the apparition. The book challenges common objections to the message of La Salette, which some see as presenting an unbiblical understanding of God and Christ. However, Father Jaouen argues that this is a misunderstanding of the message, which actually places the origin of Mary's mercy in God who mandated her to pray for us without ceasing. By examining the New Testament account of Jesus' mission, Father Jaouen shows that La Salette's emphasis on mercy and compassion is consistent with the Gospel taught by the Church. This book provides a valuable insight into the coherence of the various elements of the discourse surrounding the La Salette apparition.
