Description
A collection of 100 inspiring and poignant short stories submitted to the 500 Words: Black Lives Matter competition. This anthology features a foreword from Chris Evans, analysis of the writing, and writing tips from judges Malorie Blackman. The 500 Words series has a rich heritage, providing children with a platform to express their imaginations and creativity through storytelling. Over the past decade, it has engaged with over half of primary and secondary schools in the UK and received more than 1 million entries. This year's competition saw almost 6,000 children aged between 5-13 submit stories expressing their personal experiences and perspectives on Black Lives Matter. The book includes eight finalists' stories, as well as 92 additional stories selected from thousands of submissions.
