Description

1078 Blue Skies / 4432 Days is a poignant and unsettling work that confronts us with the trauma of Nazi concentration camps. Over six years, Anton Kusters photographed a blue sky above every former SS concentration camp and killing center in Europe.

The project consists of 1078 Polaroid photos, each accompanied by the number of victims beneath that sky and its GPS coordinates. This powerful work is a testament to the enduring impact of these atrocities on our collective memory.
