Description
Set against the backdrop of World War II, Winter War tells the story of Finland's 100-day conflict with the Soviet Union. Based on real events, this graphic novel follows the experiences of a group of Finnish soldiers as they fight to defend their homeland.
The harsh winter landscape proves to be a formidable opponent for the Soviet forces, who are initially confident of a quick victory. However, the Finns' determination and resourcefulness allow them to hold off the enemy for an impressive four months. This gripping account explores the human cost of war and the resilience of those fighting against overwhelming odds.
With its stark black and white art, Winter War is a powerful portrayal of the horrors of war. It's a story that will tug at your morals and leave you questioning the true nature of conflict.
