Description
Volte-Face is an invitation to turn away from the familiar and gaze at the overlooked landscapes that surround us. Over four years, Curtis and Oliver, with Geoff Dyer as their guide, have captured the mundane beauty of sites often overlooked in favour of more iconic attractions.
The photographs reveal a quiet history and subtle narrative, one that is easy to forget when we focus on the famous construction. Instead, these landscapes are places of work, staffed by people who keep them running smoothly - janitors, security guards, cleaners, and office guards.
