Description
This major new book offers a highly original account of ethical and political subjectivity in contemporary culture. Rosi Braidotti challenges traditional notions of moral universalism, instead arguing for a nomadic conception of the subject that navigates complex tensions between multiple forces.
Braidotti calls for a new form of ethical accountability that prioritises "Life" as the subject of inquiry, rather than its object. This approach seeks to reconfigure our being in the world and promote more creative worldviews that can inform ethical behaviour in a technologically mediated world.
Transpositions provides an intellectually rich guide to leading critical debates in the humanities and social sciences, making it a valuable resource for scholars and students seeking to engage with the most pressing issues of our time.
