Description

The Tottenham family's world is crumbling. With no means to maintain their rural Irish home and farm, brothers Nick and Tony make the long journey to Australia in search of a future. As World War Two looms, the entire family signs up to fight, each contributing their unique skills: Eleanor calculates flight paths, Rose repairs radar masts, Nick and Tony enlist in Australia, and even their father Gerald joins the Far East effort. The war takes its toll on this Irish family, sending them to battlefields across Europe and Asia. From the Australian outback to night sorties over Germany, English airfields, and a Sumatran prison camp, they face unimaginable hardship and terror. This harrowing story spans four generations, weaving together the threads of survival, sacrifice, and heroism. Based on an Irish family's real-life experience, this gripping narrative offers a powerful exploration of one family's struggle to endure in the face of war and adversity.
