Description
Reykjavík, August 1941. A murder in a basement flat sets off a chain of events as Detective Flóvent and young military policeman Thorson investigate the killing. The case leads them to suspect a family of German residents, including Rudolf Lunden and his estranged son Felix, who is on the run. As they delve deeper into the case, Flóvent and Thorson uncover evidence of dubious experiments carried out in Iceland during the 1930s. They must navigate the complex web of relationships between the local population, Allied servicemen, and German residents to unravel the truth behind the murder. Meanwhile, tensions rise as US counter-intelligence becomes involved. The investigation is further complicated by rumors of a possible visit by Churchill and the involvement of the murdered man's former girlfriend, Vera, and her British soldier lover. With time running out, Flóvent and Thorson must work together to solve the case before it's too late.
