Description
A hilarious and irreverent tale of 16th-century relic hunting, "The Relic Master" by Christopher Buckley follows Dismas, a master forger, as he conspires with artist Albrecht Dürer to fabricate Christ's burial shroud. Their plan is to sell it to the highest bidder, but things take a turn when they're pursued by mercenaries and must steal the Shroud of Chambéry. As they journey to Savoy, where the Shroud will be displayed, they encounter a lustful count and a beautiful female apothecary who joins their quest. However, upon arrival, they discover they're not alone in their intentions to acquire a relic with dubious legitimacy. A rollicking good time awaits readers of this epic quest, as Christopher Buckley brings his signature wit and irreverence from the 16th century to modern times.
