Description

Sunny Coolidge returns to her hometown of Kittery Harbor in Maine after leaving her job as a New York City newspaper reporter. She takes care of her ailing father, but finds little excitement or work in the quiet town. When Ada Spruance, the elderly cat lady, asks for help finding her lottery ticket, Sunny agrees. However, upon arriving at Ada's house with her stray tomcat Shadow, they discover the woman dead at the bottom of the stairs. The discovery sets off a chain of events as Sunny and Shadow become embroiled in an investigation into Ada's death. The town Constable suspects foul play, and Sunny's reporter instincts drive her to dig deeper. As she follows the trail of clues, including the missing lottery ticket worth six million dollars, Sunny must navigate the complex web of motives and alibis. With the help of Shadow, who seems to have a nose for detective work, Sunny tries to uncover the truth behind Ada's death before it's too late.
