Description

Sun Cycle by Anne Lesley Selcer explores the complex relationships between representation, power, and visuality. Influenced by film theory and 24-hour access screen time, this collection of poems delves into the world of images and their impact on art-making. Through a nuanced critique of appearance, Selcer's work shifts seamlessly from treatise to entreaty, examining the ways in which form and finance intersect with artistic expression. The result is a thought-provoking exploration of how we navigate the world around us. With its unique blend of intellectual curiosity and poetic insight, Sun Cycle invites readers to consider their own relationship with language and the visual world.
