Description
Some Integrity by Padraig Regan is a debut collection that brings something new to the Irish lyric tradition. Grounded in an awareness of the porous and provisional nature of our bodies, the poems explore queerness as a way of looking, a perspective that offers a fresh lens on the world. The book's social encounters and exchanges are woven together with responses to the work of artists, figures in a landscape, and considerations of food and desire. These capsule narratives and exhilarating extensions of the lyric tradition come together to create a unique and powerful voice. Padraig Regan's words invite readers to re-fit themselves into the world, gently re-adjusting their perspective on life.
