Description
Same Red Dirt: A Comical Memoir tells the story of Pat Conrad's unconventional journey from leaving his job in the United States to exploring Australia. Over the next thirteen months, he encountered an array of unforgettable characters while working at Sydney's Callan Park Mental Hospital and taking on various jobs across the country.
With refreshing honesty and a keen wit, Pat recounts his experiences, including his time among some of the world's most criminally insane, his escape to the beaches near Sydney, and his hair-raising adventures down Australia's rugged red dirt roads. Along the way, he shares how his bad choices led to a major change in his life.
This memoir offers a unique glimpse into Pat's journey, from his desire to fill a hole in his heart to his ultimate transformation. A humorous and thought-provoking read, Same Red Dirt is a candid account of one man's search for meaning and purpose.
