Description

Hair Stories is a powerful exploration of the complex relationship women have with their hair. Through a series of intimate interviews and color portraits, Indian-born photographer Rohina Hoffman delves into the ways in which hair reflects our identity, femininity, and struggle for control over our bodies.

Conceived before the #MeToo movement, this project presents hair as a metaphor for the ongoing hope and history of women. By using her skills as a neurologist to establish a truthful dialogue, Hoffman sheds light on the physical manifestation of hair as more than just style or aesthetics - it is a symbol of our resilience and strength.
