Description

Paula's Patches by Gabriella Aldeman is a heartwarming story about a young girl who learns to mend her pants with colorful patches. When Paula's own pants get torn, she discovers that her classmates have similar problems and together they find creative solutions. As Paula explores the world of patching, she encourages her friends to think creatively about how to fix things rather than throwing them away. This charming book not only tells a relatable story but also offers practical activities for children to make their own patches and other crafts. For parents and educators looking for ways to discuss important topics like consumerism and sustainability with children, Paula's Patches provides a valuable resource. The book includes a section at the back with fun activities that can be used as a starting point for conversations about these issues.
