Description
In 1970s Welsh politics, two men clashed in a battle that would shape the future of their country. Gwynoro Jones and Gwynfor Evans were on opposite sides of the Labour Party's struggle for social democracy against centralised power. Their rivalry played out across multiple elections, with one outcome hanging precariously by just three votes. This book tells the story from Gwynoro Jones' perspective, offering a fresh insight into a period that has become etched in collective memory. The author sheds new light on a local confrontation that drew on national battlelines, revealing the personal and political tensions that defined this pivotal moment in Welsh history. With its focus on the human side of politics, Only Three Votes provides a unique perspective on a period that continues to resonate today.
