Description
Lou's school year is off to a rocky start. Her BFF won't speak to her, but a new friend never shuts up. At home, her mom and her new boyfriend are smooching, which is getting on Lou's nerves. A wrecking ball is smashing down the apartment that used to belong to someone she loved. Life was simpler when dressing up in a pink princess gown would solve any problem. Now, Lou feels down in the dumps. Lou's life is full of changes and challenges. She struggles to connect with her friends and navigate her relationships at home. As she tries to make sense of it all, she finds herself feeling lost and alone. This heartfelt story explores the ups and downs of childhood and the importance of friendship and support. Down in the Dump is a relatable and honest portrayal of life's difficulties, written for readers who have experienced similar struggles.
