Description

Life Behind Bars by Leonard V. Stocker is a memoir that recounts the author's life after leaving his childhood home in Ireland at the age of twenty-one. He recounts how he moved to Jersey, met his wife-to-be, and built a new life as a publican. The author's journey took him from working behind bars in Dublin to answering an advertisement for bar staff in Jersey, where he eventually settled with his wife Susan. Together, they had three daughters and worked hard to raise them while pursuing their individual passions. This memoir offers a unique perspective on the author's experiences as he navigated a new world after leaving his childhood home.
