Description

Description

Something So Clear offers a unique perspective on India, one that looks beyond visual clichés and stereotypes. Kapil Das' photographs capture the country's diverse landscapes, people, and everyday moments with a keen eye for detail.

The book is arranged in a non-chronological order, guided by intuition, humor, and mood, rather than geographical or temporal sequence. This creates an archive of impressions that convey the chaos and complexity of life in India. Das' approach is characterised by serendipity, seeking to capture fleeting moments that reveal his subjects' inner lives.

The title "Something So Clear" is a poignant irony, as the photographs themselves are often ambiguous and open to interpretation. This book invites readers to engage with the images on their own terms, embracing the uncertainty and complexity of India's reality.
