Description
Kaddish.com is a humorous satire that explores the conflict between religious and secular worlds. When his father dies, Larry's responsibility to recite the Kaddish, a Jewish prayer for the dead, every day for eleven months, becomes a point of contention with his sister. To appease her, Larry devises an ingenious plan, hiring a stranger through a website called kaddish.com to recite the prayer and guide his father's soul safely to rest. This novel touches on the hypocrisies that run through both religious and secular worlds, presenting a fresh and entertaining take on family life and faith. Written by Nathan Englander, Kaddish.com is a thought-provoking exploration of identity, community, and the complexities of human relationships.
