Description
Ironopolis, a sprawling council estate on the outskirts of Middlesbrough, is facing demolition. At its heart lies Vincent Barr, a figure at the intersection of three generations, entangled in stories of crime and tragedy.
From boyhood pranks gone horribly wrong to involvement with explosive WWII bombs, acid rave come-ups, and the sinister underbelly of greyhound racing, Vincent's life has been marked by chaos. His own son Alan, a lifelong misfit, is now closing in on their family's darkest secret.
This gripping novel explores the complex web of stories that have defined Ironopolis over 60 years, and the devastating consequences of its impending destruction.
