Description
Flying Fox Otto Fuchs: a German Aviator's Story is a unique work in aviation literature that combines the translation of a classic autobiographical novel with a historical investigation. The original narrative, Wir Flieger, was published in 1933 and presented as the recollections of an unknown pilot to protect identities.
Adam Wait has provided a thoroughly annotated translation of Wir Flieger, retaining its vividness while uncovering the true facts behind the story through meticulous research. His findings are complemented by a chapter-by-chapter commentary and an epilogue continuing the story from its conclusion to the end of the war.
The book is profusely illustrated with period and present-day photographs and maps, bringing this fascinating tale to life. This edition offers a detailed and engaging account of a German aviator's experiences during World War I.
