Description
Ecofeminismo explores the connection between patriarchal oppression and environmental destruction in the name of progress. This revised and expanded edition remains as relevant and necessary today as it was when first published.
The book situates women's responsibility and responses to the world's major problems, including both environmental and economic issues. The devastating impact of ecological destruction and industrial catastrophes is a daily reality, often attributed to women. In contrast, new wars, ethnic conflicts, and economic malfunctions are presented as urgent questions to be addressed by ecofeminism in both industrialized and Third World societies.
