Description
Harry Kvist steps out of Langholmen jail into the biting Stockholm winter of November 1935. With nothing but hope to guide him, he sets his sights on a new life with the lover he met in his cell. But as he tries to leave behind his old existence, the city's underworld pulls him back in.
Nazis are spreading their poison on the streets, and one of Kvist's oldest friends has been murdered. With his former boxer's fists still raw from past battles, Kvist must track down the killer and navigate a trail of blood that leads to the highest echelons of Swedish society.
As he fights for survival in a world where loyalty is tested and death lurks around every corner, Kvist faces his most dangerous opponent yet. Will he be able to go straight, or will Stockholm's underworld prove too strong to resist?
