Description
Doubles A Novel by Christopher Neve is a thought-provoking thriller that explores the concept of multiple selves and the search for identity. Set against the backdrop of post-war artistic bohemias, the novel follows a narrator as he navigates surreal misadventures in Italy, Greece, Iceland, Paris, and Oxford. As he searches for a lost love, the narrator is pursued by his own doppelganger, leading him down a path of self-discovery and introspection. The novel delves into the world of painting, offering a unique perspective on the creative process and the psychological complexities that underlie it. With its Kafkaesque finale, Doubles A Novel presents a fractured psyche at the mercy of late modernist era's darker forces, leaving readers with a haunting and unsettling conclusion.
