Description

Hardcover, 303 pages. William Zeckendorf Jr.'s memoir is a fascinating account of his life as a real estate developer with a social conscience. Born into a legendary family of developers, Zeckendorf recounts the projects that transformed cities and communities, including the Columbia on the Upper West Side, Worldwide Plaza in West Midtown, and the Ronald Reagan Office Building in Washington, D.C. Richly illustrated with documentary images, this memoir offers a unique insight into the life of a developer who was as much concerned with opening up neglected areas of the city as he was with building iconic landmarks. Zeckendorf's story is one of vision, perseverance, and a commitment to making a positive impact on his community. Published in 2022, this book provides a compelling look at the life and work of William Zeckendorf Jr., a developer who left an enduring legacy in the cities he touched.
