Description

Dear Mary by Rupert M. Loydell is a unique exploration of art and life's intersections. The poet and painter reimagines moments of annunciation in contemporary settings, blending Renaissance and modern styles to create a world of wonder and surprise. In this book, language and art are celebrated as the poet navigates the world around us, both seen and unseen. Aliens abduct the Virgin Mary, 20th-century rock singers find themselves collaged together, and Francis Bacon paints angels - all in an effort to understand how we perceive and explain our surroundings. Through its vibrant imagery and inventive style, Dear Mary invites readers to ponder the connections between art, life, and the world around us.
