Description
BadAsstronauts by Grady Hendrix is a humorous science fiction novella about two men who try to launch themselves into low Earth orbit from their backyard in Melville, South Carolina.
The story follows Walter Reddie, whose cousin is stuck on an abandoned International Space Station after his mission went wrong. With no one left to rescue him, Walter decides to take matters into his own hands and build a rocket of his own. As he gathers a group of misfits to help him, they face numerous challenges and dangers, including the risk of blowing themselves up or getting arrested.
This entertaining and unconventional tale explores themes of community, determination, and the power of science and technology to bring people together.
