Description
Alice's Adventures Under Ground: A Handwritten Manuscript by Lewis Carroll. In 1864, Lewis Carroll presented Alice with his handwritten manuscript, "Alice's Adventures under Ground", accompanied by the illustrations he had drawn himself. This unique and intimate version of the story was first published in a facsimile edition at Christmas 1886. Now, this special edition presents the text in type, making it easier to read than its original facsimile counterparts. This shortened version of the story is significantly shorter than the final form of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", which was later developed from Carroll's manuscript. Despite its brevity, "Alice's Adventures under Ground" remains a fascinating glimpse into the creative process of one of literature's most beloved authors. Pages: 70, Paperback.
