Description

A facsimile of Charles Dickens's original manuscript for A Christmas Carol is presented in this beautifully crafted trade edition. The Morgan Library & Museum's historic collection, featuring Dickens's own emendations and deletions, has been reproduced here for the first time.

Alongside the manuscript, a typeset version of the story allows readers to compare Dickens's original words with the final published text. A fascinating introduction by the Morgan's chief literary curator provides insight into the history of the tale, while a new foreword by Colm Tóibín celebrates its enduring appeal.

This edition offers a unique opportunity for readers to experience the original manuscript that has captivated audiences for generations.
