Description
Azita Ghahreman's Negative of a Group Photograph brings together three decades of her poetry, spanning themes of loss, exile and female desire, as well as the changing face of Iran. This illuminating collection runs the gamut of her experience, from childhood in the Khorasan region to her exile to Sweden, and includes encounters with love.
The poems are translated into English by Maura Dooley, working in collaboration with Elhum Shakerifar, and presented here in a Farsi-English dual language edition co-published with the Poetry Translation Centre. This collection offers a unique insight into Ghahreman's life and work.
