Description

Victorian Floral Illustrations features 344 exquisite wood engravings of exotic flowers and plants from two notable botanical classics. Carol Belanger Grafton has carefully selected these illustrations, which include detailed renderings of flowers and plant features from around the world. The collection encompasses a broad spectrum of plant forms, including trees, shrubs, aquatic and climbing plants, evergreens, vines, herbs, perennials, and more. Orchids are particularly well represented, with over 10% of the illustrations depicting these beautiful flowers. Each illustration is accompanied by an identifying caption providing scientific name, native region, and a brief description of the plant. These engravings are not only visually striking but also accurate and suitable for reproduction in almost any graphic context. As they are royalty-free, no prior permission or fee is required for their use, making them a valuable resource for artists and designers.
