Description

Aleksandra's secret could mean life and death. In 1941, Poland was torn apart by war, with German forces advancing steadily. Aleksandra's sheltered life came to an abrupt end when she was taken from school and thrust into a truck bound for Berlin. The infamous "Lebensborn" program, rumored to involve the abduction of young girls, was her fate. But when their convoy was bombed, Aleksandra saw her chance to escape. With her identity hidden, she took a job as a nurse in Dresden, determined to survive. Yet, as she navigated this foreign land, her carefully crafted secret began to unravel. Aleksandra's survival now depends on keeping her true identity hidden, and the risk of discovery is ever-present. Will she be able to hold onto her past and find a way to reclaim her future?
